Columbia Belle

Columbia Bell is the lead horse on the Missoula Carousel. Columbia Bell is named after Columbia Gardens in Butte, which as a child was one of Chucks favorite places.

Leo the Lionheart

Leo was adopted by the Missoula Lions Club

Zonta

Zonta was the first carousel pony carved by Chuck Kaparich. He carved Zonta not too long after I first met him. There is a funny story attached to Zonta. Chuck called a famous carousel master asking about getting a carousel horse, and his response was very negative, so Chucks response was "Okay, I will carve my own carousel horse" Zonta was adopted by the Zonta Club of Missoula What a beauty Zonta is.

Star Boy

Star Boy, or as we knew him while he was being carved and painted, Indian Pony, was I do believe the second carousel pony carved by Chuck Kaparich. He was adopted by Moms for a Carousel.

Avalon

Avalon was the fourth Carousel Pony Chuck carved

Lil‘ Buck

My memory does not serve me well, but Lil‘ Buck was one of the first ponies Chuck carved.

Moonlight is a Pennies for Ponies success story, one of three ponies adopted by Missoula School children in the Pennies for Ponies funding drive. Moonlight was designed by Holly Raser's fourth grade class at Target Range School.

Marguerite

Marguerite was adopted by Missoula PEOs. P.E.O. is Philanthropic Educational Organization. Their official flower is the Marguerite Daisy. Marguerite is a beautiful pony, and one of my favorite photos.
